Melanie Halstead... has 10 years experience as a procurement professional and 8 years experience specifically within Global Sourcing and Global Project Management. Educated to degree level, Melanie started her career with the Retail Fashion Industry purchasing product mainly from the USA & Turkey. Two years later, a move to a Purchasing / Merchandising role within a Chinese owned Homewares & Catering Products company led to the start of a Global career travelling to Asia Pacific, India, South America and Europe to source product. 3 Years later, Melanie moved to MG Rover to gain an insight into the industrial sector. In 2004, Melanie took the opportunity to move to India to manage the MG Rover sourcing office and lead MG Rover sourcing activities in India. In 2005, Melanie was seconded to China to support key China projects. Since leaving MG Rover, Melanie has gained further experience within the automotive 'niche' and utility sectors. |
